History and Culture of Santa Ponsa
Santa Ponsa has a rich history. Jaume I landed here in 1229 to start his conquest of Mallorca. The cove where he landed is called Sa Caleta. The place is now home to Santa Ponsa Marina. Since 1929, it has been marked with a large stone cross to remember this historical event.
